resin are highly corrosion-resistant and thus durable. The filter housing itself is made of aluminum. For service, however, the filter medium is usually replaced.

Filter unit
The dust separation efficiency (criteria for the filter performance) is tested to precise tolerances with comprehensive tests of the filters ΅m range.
Mass per unit area and caliper
Samples of the filter paper are stored at +100 °C for at least 30 minutes and subsequently conditioned to a standard. Quality control takes place only after this endurance test to check whether the mass per unit area still matches the exact specifications. The specified paper
strength is also checked against the reference paper.
Tensile strength
The hardened and brittle filter paper of the reference sample may only give way under excessive load. That allows precise conclusions to
be made about the stability of the paper in a moist, oil-saturated state.
Bursting strength
In order to prevent oil from escaping in the event of an accident, the entire oil filter is tested to destruction. The higher the sustained
pressure before it bursts, the better the component quality.
Bubble test
The pressure required to let air bubbles pass through a paper sample saturated in liquid is measured.
